Koryo Saram - South Korean term for ethnic Koreans in the former Soviet Union.
Today, Russia is home to about one hundred and fifty thousand Koreans. Most of Sakhalin and Primorye. They call themselves the Koryo Saram (Korean man). They are descendants of people who moved to a half-century ago in search of a better life. In the thirty-seventh year of Stalin´s Decree ethnic Koreans as unreliable from the Far East were resettled in the republics of Central Asia. Only twenty
years they were allowed to return.
